LOCATION: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base | Dayton, OH
FINAL CONTRACT VALUE: $4.7M
SCOPE OF WORK: Pinnacle performed as Prime Contractor in this project to relocate Spruce Way and underground utilities during Phase 1 construction for the new National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) Intelligence Production Complex building. Work included demo of the existing Spruce Way; installation of 3,459 linear feet of 15” to 30” storm sewers, detention pond and associated structures; installation of 2,160 linear feet of new roadway; and installation of 4,424 linear feet of underground communication utilities. Via change order request from the client, a new drilled-shaft foundation system was also installed for relocation of a MiG fighter jet.
This was a very high visibility project, and failure was not an option since Phase 2 construction was scheduled to begin immediately after Phase 1 completion. Even with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, which included a temporary project shutdown, Pinnacle completed this project on time.
